iStar Pulsar App

App Design
Project Overview
iSTAR Pulsar is a 360-degree imagery and 3D data capture device. Its companion app was redesigned to reduce friction, simplify key workflows, and improve usability for field users.
My Contributions
I identified usability issues, validated findings with stakeholders, created and tested prototypes, and delivered final UI designs, working closely with developers across Android and iOS.
Key Integrations
Designed in collaboaration with Google, iSTAR Pulsar is the world's first professional edge-to-cloud imaging system certified for the Google Street View platform.

Main screen
Immediately users will see all their captures in a single, easily-scrollable screen. The menu bar on this page helps users easily transfer between different functions.

The main screen highlights important data related to each capture: type of capture, capture ID, date and also functions enabling users to upload and copy to the cloud or a hard drive. With the 'View more' button, users can manage each capture individually.
Managing individual captures
The individual capture screen shows valuable information to the capture.

The most important aspect is the map. instantly, the user can see important details, such as the location of the capture, how much of the capture has been taken and still to finish and also the start and end of the journey. Seconday information will be the capture ID, the number of images taken, the time of the start and finish of the capture as well.

The same functionality is retained from the previous screen allowing the user to copy or upload to the cloud or external peripheral or delete the capture entirely.
Managing the camera's settings
An integral part of the app was to control the camera. below are some designs based on this section.
